Physiotherapy

Physiotherapist are specialized to assess, diagnose, and treat most musculoskeletal injuries and pathologies. They utilize a variety of techniques ranging from manual therapy, electrophysical modalities, education, and exercise prescription to rehabilitate clients in order to return to their daily functions, work, or sport.

Martin has 30 years of experience treating orthopaedic injuries. Martin has a Masters of Clinical Science in Manipulative Physiotherapy, is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists, and is a lecturer in the Bachelor of Health and Education program at Nipissing University. He also mentors physiotherapists through levels 1-3 of the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Martin is a certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) practitioner, and has participated in countless continuing education courses, including McKenzie levels A-D, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Lynn Watson Shoulder Dysfunction Levels 1-2, Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Movement Systems.

Ryan completed his Master of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa in 2023. Prior to this he graduated from Laurentian University with a BSc with specialization in Kinesiology in 2021. During his time at Laurentian University, Ryan was able to gain experience treating athletes as a student varsity trainer with the school’s cross country and indoor track team. He has a special interest in treating orthopedic conditions and injuries, using a combination of manual therapy and exercise prescription to help his patients return to their favorite activities. He continues to develop his skills through various continuing education courses in manual therapy and orthopedic care. Originally from Sturgeon Falls, Ryan is excited to pursue a career close to home.
